Woodhouses Cricket Club
Woodhouses Cricket Club was founded in 1908 and is located in Failsworth which is situated in north east Manchester. We are members of the Greater Manchester Cricket League and the 1st X1 play in The Premier Division. It is a family orientated village community cricket club with two senior teams. It also has 5 junior teams from Under 9s through to Under 18s that all play competitive league cricket. It is quality assured through its nationally recognised Governing Body Clubmark accreditation status. It has also been awarded Community Amateur Sports Club status.
It has an attractive picturesque ground with good practice facilities and an excellent reputation locally for cricket being the home club of the former England Captain Michael Atherton and the notable achievement of winning the National Village Cup at Lord’s in 2011. New players are very welcome to join the club.
